The principle of operation of a Desiccant dehumidifier involves two separate air streams. the first main process air stream (green) is the return air from the conditioned space which enters the dehumidifier’s inlet & passes through the desiccant rotor that is impregnated with silica gel, which adsorbs the moisture from the air, which is then fed to the conditioned space as warm dry air via the dry air (yellow) outlet. The rotor is constantly rotating slowly which rotates into the separate reactivation air stream where heater is located and the reactivation fan draws heated air into the V seal portion of the rotor which heats the moisture back out of the rotor & vents that wet hot air to atmosphere via the wet air outlet (blue)
